Hope everyone is having an enjoyable Labor Day weekend!

09-12-05:

For those of you who will be in the Denver area this weekend, come see us at Nan Desu Kan! We'll be announcing our new TOP-SECRET project at the con, and Jason will be holding an inking panel on Saturday ^_^.

Also, we will be donating to Nan Desu Kan's raffle to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Unfortunately we don't have any specifics yet regarding the raffle, but we know that it will occur during the con......so be sure to check your program booklets and/or ask the friendly NDK staff for more info!

On that note, we'd like to take a moment to point you towards the site of our friend Charles Allen Harris, who is selling prints of his work to help with the relief effort. All proceeds go to the Red Cross.

The Comic Art section of Jason's Client/Publication List has been updated!

Finally, we have added some (very belated) Artist Friends and Colleagues links to our site!

09-25-05:

Nan Desu Kan 2005 was awesome!

Thanks to all the fans who stopped-by our table, everyone who helped pack-out Jason's panel (that was amazing *_*), and to the wonderfully kind and helpful NDK staff (best con staff ever)! We'll definitely be back next year ^_^.

If you are wondering about the "TOP SECRET" project we mentioned earlier.....here's the scoop:

On November 14th we will be launching an original webcomic titled 'Faolain'! We aren't releasing any info yet on the story and characters (you'll have to wait until the launch date gets closer ^_-). However we do have a domain (http://faolaincomic.com), complete with a teaser image!

The teaser image is currently available as a bookmark in the new Faolain Merchandise section of our online STORE.

We plan to add more to the Faolain store and website as November 14th approaches, so stay tuned!

Now for a condensed NDK 05 report:

When we arrived on Friday afternoon we were shocked to see the crowds of people in the hotel (attendance was definitely up from last year)! In fact, we were kept so busy at our table that before we knew it Opening Ceremonies had come and gone @_@. Finally, sometime after 9:30, we went to find some dinner before going home for the night. During dinner we were introduced to the Japanese guests of the con, Kazuko Tadano and Hiromi Matsushita. We all had a fun time getting to know each other and talking about art.

Saturday was a whirlwind! We met lots of great people, Jason's panel was jam-packed, and we sold-out of almost all our prints @_@.

We arrived a little late on Sunday because we forgot to grab some things on our way out the door, and ended-up going back for them. (D'oh! >_<) When we did get to the con Kazuko (who is the character designer and art director for 'Sailor Moon' among many other things) surprised us with an original drawing of Heather (based on photos that she and her husband had taken on Saturday). Very cool! Sunday was more relaxed, and we found time to snap some photos of cosplayers:

-Nice Battle Angel Alita -Best Tifa EVER! -Our Favorite Draco and a Gryffindor Student (...should they be hanging-out together? O.o) -This guy made a fantastic Link! We wish we had gotten a photo of his costume on Saturday >_<.

Sunday evening we attended Closing Ceremonies, then hung-out with the awesome NDK staff, and the other guests. NDK's 'Katrina Relief' auction and raffle raised A LOT of money (we can't recall the exact amount, but it was well into the thousands)! We felt honored and happy to have contributed Jason's Astrogirl original (and some sketchbooks) to such a worthy cause ^_^. (If you are interested to purchase an original of your own, check-out the Original Art section of our online STORE!)

Before we said our goodbyes, Kazuko gave us another beautiful gift! Hopefully we can keep in touch ^_^.

Again, HUGE THANKS to the NDK Staff, our old friends, and all the wonderful people we met for helping to make this con such a blast! We hope to see everyone again next year!!!

On that note, we have made some additions to our 'Scheduled Appearances' (scroll down to see them). We're always open to attending conventions, so please feel free to drop us a line if you would like to suggest a convention, or invite us to yours ^_^.

We'd like to take a moment to point you towards the site of our friend Charles Allen Harris, who is selling prints of his work to help with the relief effort. All proceeds go to the Red Cross.

Finally, check out the new published venue now posted with our Year of Cammy Autumn and Winter illustration ^_^.
